Welcome! Happy to have you here. You’ve found my blog, which means you (obviously) have good taste :) Haha!

A little bit about me… I am a Chicago girl at heart, but just can’t seem to shake Colorado. It’s become my home. I’m as happy to be in a tent in the woods, as I am shopping at Anthropologie. It’s all about balance.

When I’m not traveling, I live with my husband, son, dog and cat in the Platt Park area of Denver.

Coming from a newspaper background, I love telling your story through photography. Whether it’s a wedding, a portrait session or boudoir photography, I love showcasing the emotion, small moments and the little details. Interested? Let’s chat.

Indi

December 15th, 2014

This little girl is spunky! She is babbling, crawling and knows what she wants. That makes for a fun shoot because I don’t have to do much directing – Indi worked it!

Luca

December 12th, 2014

This was one of my favorite family shoots this year. Clayton’s family property will be sold and he wanted to do a family photo shoot somewhere that meant a lot to him. They just wandered around the property, showing Luca cool different spots, riding lawn mowers and enjoying a peaceful sunset. It was quite the afternoon.

Brooklyn and Ryan’s 1920’s style wedding

Brooklyn is a girl who knows what she wants, and makes it happen. Every detail was perfect – from her amazing dress to the handmade programs to her red hot lipstick. Ryan and Brooklyn had their first look at the intimate Montview Labyrinth. We took portraits downtown in and around Union Station, which was just perfect stylistically.

They walked hand-in-hand into their pre-ceremony cocktail hour, greeting guests along the way until they made it to the end where their altar was. Her grandfather proceeded to marry them as their guests gathered around, cocktails in hand and vowed to support them in marriage. It was quite sweet.

What a pleasure to photograph this union! Big thanks to Jannelle Althoff for coming with me.

This little girl was just a few days old.

You quickly forget how little your babies were. The lack of sleep, adjusting to a new life force in your house – one that screams and eats and sucks at all hours of the day, the lack of sleep… it all clouds those first few weeks. And then you look back at the photos and somehow remember only love, the sweet newborn smell, the time in the middle of the night when it feels like it’s just the two of you in the whole world.

That’s why you take newborn photos.

Again and again, it’s so incredible to be with people during these huge life milestones. I photographed Lesley and Matt’s wedding last year, so it was such a great surprise to hear they were having a baby just a few weeks after their first anniversary. Congrats on your newest family member!

Everett

November 11th, 2014

This little guy was working on getting some molars, so Everett alternated from crying to laughing and back again. It was really fun capturing so many different emotions. He was a trooper! And how cute is this family!??
