The newspaper where I worked for four years called me up to cover the Class 3A state football championship game Saturday afternoon in Aurora: Glenwood Springs vs. Fort Morgan. It was a perfect day for football – crisp, sunny and full of excitement. It was fun to see this senior class who I had been following through their entire high school career win the title.
