I used to work with Stella’s aunt, Emily, who bought a portrait session with me to give to her sister as a birthday present. I then found out that I go to the same church as Stella and her parents, Liz and Tom. Denver really amazes me how small it is sometimes!
Stella has these huge, beautiful eyes (just like her mom) and is a very happy baby. As soon as her dad starts playing with her, she gets the biggest grin on her face. It really is adorable to watch.
Lucky for me, I’ll get to watch Stella grow up on Sundays. What a cutie! Click to see the rest of Stella’s gallery.

Doesn’t this look like a Design Within Reach ad? (you know, the place with the cool chairs?)

Now that’s a happy baby…

And that is the look of a mother’s love on Liz’s face

Time for a nap…

These sisters are too cute for words. One is girl next door and the other has more of a bad girl look. They are both sweet as can be.

Once again, Denver make-up artist, Cynthia Goodberry, and I teamed up for a boudior day at the Magnolia Hotel. Both Miss K and Miss J are getting married this year and have decided to give these photos to their soon-to-be hubbies as wedding presents. I am always so excited to see the woman’s nervousness dissolve mid-shoot and just feel comfortable and confident with her body. Of course I want you to walk away from this experience loving your pictures, but I also want you to walk away feeling awesome and self-empowered.
Miss J’s eyes are to die for – big and expressive – and Miss K’s are too blue for words. Thanks for making my job so easy girls!

Kathleen, Chris and I wandered around Confluence Park with their cute dogs, Maggie and Scout. I am so fortunate to work with the most laid back couples. They were so patient with me, even when I asked them to do stupid stuff. Sometimes Chris would look at me like – what? – but then would oblige. And aren’t they an attractive couple? Plus, Chris avoided any “Jenner” poses :)
I am excited to shoot their wedding in a month! Hopefully it’ll be a little less windy than our engagement session.

So I didn’t even know that my work was chosen to be published, let alone that one of my photos was the cover of High Country Wedding magazine until Mike, the groom on the cover, saw the magazine at a tux shop were he was getting fitted for a wedding he is in this summer. He brought it home to his wife, Jess, who then called me to tell me. I still haven’t seen a print copy – I’ll have to stop by a tux shop. Anyway – photos included are from Britney and Joel’s Boettcher Mansion wedding and Jess and Mike’s Flying Dog Ranch wedding in Carbondale (near Aspen).
