I am not going to lie – editing through these made me shiver a little. Brrr! Carly and Ilan were such good sports during this shoot. They envisioned a snowy engagement shoot, but with the 65 degree weather we’d been having, we had given up hope. Until Saturday that is! We romped around in the snowstorm until our fingers and toes were frozen. I’ve been wanting to bring some more life and movement to my portraits, something more than just poses, and I really think we accomplished it here.
Hopefully their August wedding will be a tad warmer!

Thanks to Cynthia Goodberry of Denver Makeup Guru for the fab makeup!

Micah and Meg love to laugh. I joined them in on the fun as we strolled around Cheeseman and their neighborhood.
No gorilla suits appeared during this shoot, but they warned me that there’s 100% chance there will be one at their wedding next May.

Bridget + Chris.
Cheeseman Park.
So cute and so easy to be around. Can’t you tell?

These two are a special couple. They will have met, dated, gotten engaged and married all within a year’s time, and why not? They are perfect together. Tom wanted to hit up the locations of their first three dates during this session. I love when there is some thought to couple’s engagement portraits. I mean a pretty location is wonderful, but for them to look at the photos and have a memory there – that is cool.
On to the photos!

I feel like this is so Tom and Mary

I first met Anna at a “law school prom” of Bryan’s – she was wearing her prom dress from high school. It was pretty funny! Here’s hoping her wedding dress looks nothing like that prom dress…
These two met while skiing at Vail a few years ago, and two weeks into dating, Anna tore her ACL while skiing with Tony and his parents. She didn’t want to seem like a wuss, so she skiied a few more runs with a torn ACL. That makes me cringe just thinking about it. Good thing he was worth it!
I am so excited for their wedding up on a private ranch in Vail in a few weeks, with a very special musical guest ;)
