Denver engagement portraits | Mary and TomJuly 27th, 2011These two are a special couple. They will have met, dated, gotten engaged and married all within a year’s time, and why not? They are perfect together. Tom wanted to hit up the locations of their first three dates during this session. I love when there is some thought to couple’s engagement portraits. I mean [...] |

Tom wanted to hit up the locations of their first three dates during this session. I love when there is some thought to couple’s engagement portraits. I mean a pretty location is wonderful, but for them to look at the photos and have a memory there – that is cool.
On to the photos!
I feel like this is so Tom and Mary
Denver engagement portraits | Anna and TonyJuly 21st, 2011I first met Anna at a “law school prom” of Bryan’s – she was wearing her prom dress from high school. It was pretty funny! Here’s hoping her wedding dress looks nothing like that prom dress… These two met while skiing at Vail a few years ago, and two weeks into dating, Anna tore her [...] |

These two met while skiing at Vail a few years ago, and two weeks into dating, Anna tore her ACL while skiing with Tony and his parents. She didn’t want to seem like a wuss, so she skiied a few more runs with a torn ACL. That makes me cringe just thinking about it. Good thing he was worth it!
I am so excited for their wedding up on a private ranch in Vail in a few weeks, with a very special musical guest ;)
Chicago engagement photos | Carrie and AndrewJuly 11th, 2011Carrie and Andrew picked me up from the L station, with all my luggage in tow as I had just gotten off the plane. Andrew handed me a cold water bottle – I almost kissed him. I am always just amazed at how thoughtful my couples are. These two were just so easy to shoot [...] |

These two were just so easy to shoot – we wandered around Lincoln Park and then headed up to the beach. It was seriously a perfect summer night in Chicago. Made me a little homesick.
I am excited to shoot their wedding at The Wit hotel next year – if it’s anything like Carrie’s sister Christy’s wedding which I shot in May – I think it’ll be pretty awesome.
South Broadway Engagement Photos | Coley and LaurenJune 23rd, 2011I had fun with these two lovebirds. Coley is into photography, so I knew I could really play around with these portraits and they would “get it.” We met at Wash Park and then headed over to wander around South Broadway on another beautiful Colorado evening. I can’t get enough of this summer weather – [...] |

I had fun with these two lovebirds. Coley is into photography, so I knew I could really play around with these portraits and they would “get it.” We met at Wash Park and then headed over to wander around South Broadway on another beautiful Colorado evening. I can’t get enough of this summer weather – perfect!
I had them climb up random fire escapes, front porches, lawns – they were game for it all. What troopers! I shot Coley’s sister’s Washington D.C. wedding photographs this past spring, which is how we met. Then we figured out we live like a mile away from each other. It’s a small world after all.
I am super excited for Lauren and Coley’s wedding this fall – it’s going to be a big untraditional bbq-dance party at the Barn in Evergreen. Woo-hoo!
