Photographing the CU Barrister’s Ball (aka law school prom) was a little like shooting a wedding reception. It was held at Bacaro in Boulder and had a “Mad Men” theme to it, which definitely made for fun people watching!

A few months ago, the editor at Photo District News (PDN) magazine emailed asking if I had any stories to share regarding the challenging situations wedding photographers face at weddings, how you’ve handled it and what you’ve learned. Last week, I opened the mailbox to find May’s issue, my interview and a few photos along with four other photographers’ interviews and work.

The Village Cork

The owner of The Village Cork is my across-the-street neighbor. She stopped by to see if I would do some photos for their new website. Their chef, Samir, cooked up some AH-mazing dishes for me to shoot. And yes, I got to taste them afterward. Yum. They were great to work with and I love shooting with little guidance. This restaurant is sooo charming – great wine and local food – located on Pearl and Louisiana.

They were recently chosen as 5280′s Best New Restaurant. Even though they’ve been open for 9 years, they just recently started serving full meals – hence making them a restaurant.
