Rachel contacted me after I shot her friend’s wedding – Jon and Allie in Connecticut. It worked out that I had another New York wedding booked the weekend before Rachel and John’s. What luck! We scheduled their engagement shoot while I’m here, staying in NYC with my best friend, Mere, and her daughter and husband.
I met Rachel and John at her parent’s New York brownstone. We then went over to Washington Square Park and meandered around Greenwich Village until we reached their favorite pizzeria – John’s Pizzeria. Ah – sooo YUM! I had a blast hanging out with the two of them. They are the sweetest couple to take photos of, let alone get to know. They are loving and caring toward each other and all those around them. Plus, getting out of Colorado and shooting in NYC was a treat for me – the color and energy was really inspiring. The 100+º weather was not as inspiring though. Ugh, I’ve never been so sweaty! Anyway, hope you guys had as much fun as I did. I am really looking forward to your BIG DAY Sunday!

Can we talk about how cute Rachel’s shoes are?

And this is one of my favorite shots of the day – I can see this on a big canvas print.

Chris and Amanda have been dating for a long time, and you can tell with how comfortable they are with each other. They had no problem doing the silly things I asked them (like running at the seagulls), cuddling over and over with each other and making each other laugh. And thanks for being ok with all that sand :)
Chicago’s North Beach was such a fun place to shoot – so many options and so different from Colorado. I am so excited for their August wedding in Chicago – although I’ll be sweating my butt off – I know it’ll be a great time!

I met Aaron and Jess in Wash Park last Saturday on a crazy warm day in mid-January. When we scheduled the session, I figured we’d be shooting in a snow storm, not in flip flops! From the first frame on, Jess and Aaron worked it for the camera. Not much prompting was needed from me. Thanks for making my job easy you two!
Hanging around engaged couples, you really get a feeling for how their marriage will be. These two are so caring toward each other – genuinely making sure the other is warm, okay, comfortable, happy, etc. I am really looking forward to their fall wedding – plus it’s just down the street from me in a great neighborhood!

Their Boston Bull Terriers wanted to steal the show! So cute.
