Wedding album blog post #2 focuses on the Modern Flush-mount Album. Flush-mount means the pages are designed (by me), printed and then laid onto the pages as a spread (2 pages connected), therefore no matting – giving it a much more modern, streamlined look. It is also easier (and less expensive) to include more photos than the Cypress album.

The cover options for this modern flush-mount are endless, with over 50 color and fabric options. You can opt to have it bound with just one fabric choice or you can choose two fabrics for a two-tone looked. There is also various material options to have your cover photo printed on – metal, glass, acrylic, or canvas – with the photo covering the entire front cover. But don’t fret – I have all the fabric swatches here and can guide you in your choice. It can be overwhelming!

The pages of this album are very thick, helping to keep future generations from tearing or all-together ruining your album. The nice thing about flush-mount albums is that you can have a photo spread, meaning one photo spans over two pages. The album comes in about 20 different sizes, from 3×3 to 11×14.

Lastly, the plus to a Modern Album is that you are able to order clone albums (identical layout) at a less expensive price to use as parent or grandparent albums. The only thing you can change is the cover fabric and cover photo. The clone album is a coffee table version of the Modern, so it is thinner overall with thinner pages, but same quality printing.

So I recently ordered a new sample album for the studio. It is from Jon and Allie’s Connecticut wedding last September. My go-to album company is Finao – they are clean, modern and classic with a ton of choices for album covers – and one of their albums is included in all my wedding packages. I custom design all my albums for clients – they pick out the photos and we work together in getting it perfect.

This is the cover photo that I put with cool brown leather. Each photo except for the first, second and last are two pages (or a spread).

New wedding albums!

I was like a kid at Christmas this afternoon when I opened the box from Finao Albums. These are the new albums I am offering as part of my wedding packages. They are modern looking and the color printing is right on.

The one I ordered has a metal cover with a photo printed on it, and silver leather bound.

The inside pages offers a variety of designs that I layout myself.

The binding is solid and the pages are sturdy.

After the wedding, couples are able to choose what photos they would like in the album, and can choose what kind of cover (material, color, etc) they would like.
