This sweet little girl came a month early much to the surprise of her mom and dad. You feel like you’re holding a feather – she’s so light! Although she slept through most of the shoot, she did manage to open her eyes to let us know she was hungry. Hey, a girl’s gotta eat!

Three-week-old Ryder was so good during this shoot. He just snuggled with his parents, who, by the way, are so smitten with him. It’s pretty cute to see their faces melt every time they look at him. I’m excited to watch this little guy grow and see how his personality develops over his first year!

I used to work with Stella’s aunt, Emily, who bought a portrait session with me to give to her sister as a birthday present. I then found out that I go to the same church as Stella and her parents, Liz and Tom. Denver really amazes me how small it is sometimes!
Stella has these huge, beautiful eyes (just like her mom) and is a very happy baby. As soon as her dad starts playing with her, she gets the biggest grin on her face. It really is adorable to watch.
Lucky for me, I’ll get to watch Stella grow up on Sundays. What a cutie! Click to see the rest of Stella’s gallery.

Doesn’t this look like a Design Within Reach ad? (you know, the place with the cool chairs?)

Now that’s a happy baby…

And that is the look of a mother’s love on Liz’s face

Time for a nap…

B and I went out to visit his brother and sister-in-law in Virginia this past weekend and to meet our two-month-old nephew, Noah. He was so good – just chilling, watching the world go by. The life of a newborn is pretty awesome – sleep, eat, play, rinse and repeat. We did a photo shoot with the lil guy (who barely took a nap that day) and he was a trooper. No melt downs until the end – he was sooo tired. Have you ever seen bags on a two-month-old? :)
Robbie and Liz seem to be handling the role of new parents really well. It sure is a tough job! Grandma was there too, so we took some pics of the two cuddling.

And yes, I know this photo is not in focus – but I like it.

I had so much fun with the Morlans on this shoot. You would think having three boys under the age of 6 would drive a parent crazy, but Dave and Renee handle it so well. They don’t take anything too seriously, but also make sure the boys are always being polite, respectful and kind – to others as well as themselves – and a little bribery does wonders. Hope Benny’s tasted great after this shoot!

This was so cute – Will offers Ian some brotherly advice after Ian hurt his toe

You have no idea how hard this was to get and we still don’t have Beckett looking at the camera…

Ready for Benny’s … now.
