Kathleen is one of my besties – it was friendship at first sight our first week at college when we met each other with our messy ponytail buns on the top of our heads ala Marge Simpson. Her husband, Steve, is a giant sweetheart and their 6-month-old son, William, is cute enought to almost make me want a kid of my own. I said ALMOST guys.
I was home in the Chicago ‘burbs for my grandma’s 90th birthday (post on that later) and went over to Kath’s house for the portrait session. We had a lot of fun – the three were naturals. This family can’t take a bad picture. Thanks for making my job easy guys!

So last night, I took photos in our Fellowship Group for the church’s new web site. It reminded me of shooting for a newspaper – once you gain the trust of people – they have no problem with you taking pictures – they tend to almost ignore you. Which is awesome! This morning I also took a couple still lifes for fillers on the site.

I had a friend of a friend email me the other day to consider doing dance photos for a contemporary dance company and their upcoming performance. I automatically thought stage lighting, posed dancing, etc. We met up to chat, and I found out these girls were completely the opposite! It was a blast and it was so fun to shoot something a little different – very simliar to a fashion shoot. The girls had so much energy, tons of ideas and were game for anything (even changing in Commons Park!) :) You can catch CLUTCH (hang-on) in Boulder at the Nomad Theater, on February 26 & 27, 2010.
