Hudson Gardens Wedding
Sometimes wedding plans change and it’s out of your control. Like when your wedding venue books a Zac Brown Band concert for the day of your wedding, and you are forced to either change your date or find a new venue.
Sounds pretty frustrating, right? Well, that’s exactly what happened to Lauren and Benton! They are big baseball fans, and were all set for their wedding to be held at Coors Field. When I got the call from Lauren that she had to change her venue to Hudson Gardens, she was disappointed that it occurred, But honestly, she rolled with the punches, and said, well, what are you gonna do?
Rain fell the morning and into the afternoon of her wedding. The kind of rain where you think, well this has got to stop soon… and then it keeps going. But everything cleared up about 1.5 hours before the ceremony and they were able to tie the knot (literally!) outside. Plum Sage did a beautiful job with their flowers, and kept the baseball theme alive with Benton and the groomsmen’s boutonnieres which were made from real baseball leather. So cool!
Lauren looked beautiful and Benton teared up as he watched Lauren walk down the aisle. They touchingly commemorated their mothers during their ceremony and tied two ropes together and will continue to add a knot with each anniversary.
Their reception was filled with toasts, dances and a surprise serenade by Lauren’s brother. Big thanks to Laura Anderson for helping me catch all the moments! And click on the link if you want to re-live their Evergreen engagement session
