11 Best Locations For Family Photographs In Denver

The location of your photo session makes a big difference for the end result of your photographs. I ask my families about the style or vibe they have in mind. Are they looking for more urban, lush greenery, mountain views, city park, open field, lake views or a more personal at home photo session? Do they care more about ease, drive time, safety for little kids?

All of those things go into consideration when I give you options for your session. Here are my top 11 locations for family photo shoots. I do have a few more secret gems, but that’s for client ear’s only :)

  • 11. Family Portraits At Home!

  • They say home is where the heart is. Your house holds so many memories. Rather than loading everyone up in the car and shuttling them to a location, you might think about doing something at your home. We can also use your backyard or walk to a nearby park.

For younger kids, say under 3, I highly suggest starting at home. When they meet me on their own turf, I’ve found that children respond to me much better. They grow comfortable with me pretty quickly and then that makes my job of creating beautiful family photographs easy.
