Tate is one lucky little brother. His big brother loves him and is so excited for him to grow up and get big already! Newborn portraits with siblings can be so fun, and of course, a little chaotic.
We were able to schedule this newborn photography shoot in one day, in order to capture Tate still in his newborn-ness. It’s fun photographing newborns with older siblings because there is a whole different dynamic with more than one child. The older kids are used to getting more attention, but those new babies sure manage to steal most of it.
There is a lot of love between siblings, sometimes the squeezes and kisses are too hard but those new babies sure know they are wanted and loved.
The best way to get newborn portraits with siblings is to get the older brothers and sisters involved quickly. Then, once those portraits are finished, they can go play or have a snack. It’s a lot of change, so I don’t like pushing them too much.
I also give older siblings some personal attention to make them feel special.
