Staunton State Park Fall Engagement Session
Emily and Lee wanted to capture the beauty of Colorado in fall, and Staunton State Park was just the place. Lee surprised Emily with a sweet love note to start the session. (Good job Lee!)
The afternoon light warmed us up as we wandered along the trails at the park. They had really put thought into their clothing and the look they wanted. It was fun helping them choose what to wear – what colors pop against Mother Nature.
Emily’s laugh is infectious. When she laughs, you can’t help but laugh with her – plus it makes for great images! Engagement sessions always start out a little jittery as we get to know each other. They are a great opportunity for me to see how the couple interacts with each other and for them to see how I work behind the camera. It sure helps for success on their wedding day!
Lee brought a few ideas to the session. It’s great when both people are excited for the session, and no one is “dragging” the other along. When someone is reluctant, I promise them that they’ll have fun. Honestly they always admit it was way more fun than they expected. It’s a time that the two of you get to spend alone, celebrating your upcoming wedding and dreaming about the future. It’s really the start of documenting your married life.
