Documenting Your Journey From Bump To Baby
As a family photographer for more than 15 years, I truly enjoy following a family from bump to baby and onward. Maternity photography is a wonderful way to capture the relationship between you and your partner, as well as enjoy the beauty that is your changing body. I enjoy photographing expectant mothers and newborn babies at their homes in or around Denver. Pregnancy is a special time in a mom’s life that is short-lived, although while you are expecting it feels like it drags on forever.
When to take Maternity Portraits
Capturing maternity portraits is a way to capture the memories and to show your children what you looked like. I generally photograph maternity portraits with your spouse or partner, and love to include any children you already have in some of the portraits. Maternity photos can be done at your home, backyard, a park – or any mixture of those. I tell moms-to-be that portraits should be taken between 30-36 weeks. Any earlier and your bump may be too small, any later and we run the risk of you giving birth!
What to Wear For Maternity Photos
When you become a client of Kara Pearson Photography, you have access to my client wardrobe. I have options for pregnant and postpartum moms that are flattering and beautiful. Plus, then you don’t have to think about what to wear or invest in something you may only wear one time. I also offer hair and makeup as part of your session fee. It never hurts to have a little help! My makeup artist comes to your home, and you get to have a little pampering time. Here are some more Denver maternity photography tips.
