Rachel and Daniel’s Jewish Orthodox wedding at the Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts was an experience that I won’t quickly forget. The religious and cultural traditions at their wedding was incredibly interesting. Pushing past guests (325+!) to photograph Daniel seeing Rachel for the first time in 3 weeks during the Bedecken was really emotional. Daniel was carried by the men to Rachel, who was hidden by her bridesmaids. When he walked up to her, the relief and happiness on their faces (as well as the tears in her eyes), was evident.
The constant vibration of energy all night was palpable. The first round of dancing alone would have left me exhausted! I am guessing Rachel and Daniel slept for 3 days straight after their wedding day! Congrats to you two – what an honor to be part of your day!
Big thanks for Matt Allen and Kimberly Mitiska for helping photograph this wedding!

5th Place: Details
October 8, 2013 at 12:45 pm[…] It’s funny that a photo of mine placed in WPJA‘s “Details” category since shooting details of weddings isn’t always my favorite. I’m drawn to people and emotions. Thanks to Rachel and Daniel’s wedding! […]
